Five Things

1 - American Horror Story// As I'm sure you know, American Horror Story started on Wednesday! I was super excited and it didn't disappoint. A lot of people were confused, but I really liked it. I thought it was scary enough and I love the documentary feel of it. I cannot wait to see how it plays out!

2 - iOS10// I got iOS10 late Tuesday night and I'm obsessed. If nothing else, I'm glad they added what they did to messages. Kayla and I seriously just talk through the gifs. It's so much fun and I really don't think it will ever get old!

3 - Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling// If you follow me on Instagram or twitter, you know I've been working on Mindy's first book. I finished it Friday night and I loved it! It was so funny, it was an easy read and it definitely kept me entertained. You should definitely read it. I started The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer last night!

4 - Interior Design vs. Interior Decorating (A Mini Rant)// So everyone who knows me is sick and tired of hearing me say this. But I'll say it a thousand times more. INTERIOR DESIGN IS NOT INTERIOR DECORATING. Yes, Interior Designers do decorate. That is one of the many things that we do. Basically Interior Design should be called "Interior Design Architecture" because that's really what it is. If someone is starting from scratch, we figure out all of the doors, windows, walls, etc. This in turn really dictates how the exterior looks. We also plan out plumbing, electrical and mechanical. Contractors usually have to check over it and make sure it's good, but we have to allow space for those things in our designs. We also have to deal a lot with lighting, not only lamps but also lighting that is built into the space. It's not just throwing together furniture and decorating a room. It's much more and it literally kills me when people ask "Oh, can't you do that without going to school?" No, not if you don't want your house falling apart or burning down 10 minutes after a fire.

5 - Shane Dawson// So I'm WAY WAY behind on the Shane Dawson train but Kayla forced me to watch one of his videos this week and I've become obsessed. Now every night before I go to bed Kayla and I lay down and watch his latest video. My favorite videos of his are the conspiracy theory ones! And the Mandela Effect keeps me up at night.
