Products I Use:
Recently I saw Pantene's Curl Perfection shampoo and conditioner at Target and I knew I had to try it out. And I'm so glad I did. Not only does it help with my frizz, it smells GREAT! It makes my hair feel so soft and smooth.
After I shampoo and condition with the products above, I let my hair dry just a little bit so it's not soaking wet, wrapped up in a towel. I put a quarter sized (I only use this much because I have insanely thick hair) dollop of this HASK Aragon Morocco Oil in my hand and run it through my hair until it is evenly distributed throughout my hair.
My Process:
After I do the HASK oil, I let my hair air dry, unless I'm going straight to bed. Each night before bed, I separate my hair into four braids and spray each one with a little bit of hair spray and just go right to bed! I wake up and I have nice, wavy hair, that becomes naturally smooth! All I have to do in the morning is take the braids out and run my fingers through my hair and I'm done!
It's super simple, and I only use a few products, plus dry shampoo on the second or third day without washing my hair! It works for me, and it also might work for you!
How do you tame your frizz?
Such a great resource to have! I have THICK straight hair that gets so frizzy in humid weather. I swear by dry shampoo, it changed my life! Thanks for sharing your tips!

I have extremely thick hair and these products really helped me, you should try them!
DeleteI have long thin hair unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteI use macadamia deep conditioner and it's AMAZING...makes my hair so so soft!

I would give anything for thin hair! You're so lucky! I'm going to have to try that deep conditioner!
DeleteI really enjoy reading posts about what products people use, so this post was perfect! I'll have to give using Argan oil in my hair a try :)
ReplyDeleteXX, SS || A Little Seersucker Sass
I do too, they're always so fun and give me ideas! You definitely should!
DeleteThis is brilliant. I have the texture and thickness of my mom's Shirley Temple ringlets, but my hair is sometimes wavy at best, mostly straight, so it's a weird combo with PLENTY of frizz. An Argan oil conditioner is the next in my lineup to try so hopefully that helps. I notice my frizz is such a bigger problem when I blow dry my hair, rather than letting it air dry which to me is pretty strange.

Seriously, the Aragn Oil will help you so much, especially with your straight hair! I have the EXACT same problem! My hair is always noticeably more frizzy when I blow dry my hair, which makes me avoid it!
DeleteOh frizz. Seriously, I hate it, but who doesn't? I don't trust anyone who says their hair doesn't frizz! I love using Aragan oil, it's the product that I feel helps the most!
ReplyDeleteSame! Everyone's hair frizzes! The oil is seriously my saving grace right now!
DeleteI get such frizzy hair in the summer. Thanks for these product reviews!
ReplyDeleteMe too, frizz for me is always the worst in the summer!
DeleteI'm for sure going to try these! I struggle with constantly frizzy hair.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should try them! It's definitely worth a shot! They work for me, so hopefully they work for you :)
DeleteI can relate soooo much to this post. My hair has a mind of its own. Unfortunately my skin reacts badly to products with sulfate, so I have to stick to a pretty strict routine with shampoos, conditioners, etc.
ReplyDeletehttp://thealwaysblog.com
Hm! That's interesting! I have to be careful with products I use on my face, but I haven't really had any problems with hair products! I'm not sure if there's sulfate in the oil I mentioned, but if there isn't any in there, definitely give it a try!
DeleteInstantly buying all these products because I have the WORST frizzy hair! I love John Frieda's Frizz Ease Serum too! xo

You definitely won't be disappointed with these products!
DeleteI've actually never heard or looked into these products! I do keratin (it helps a lot...pricey but so worth it... not sure if you've tried it bc you didn't mention the exact name!) But you might not want to lose the curls... my sister lost her curls after doing keratin. I have frizz, no curls! I also love the line by Jennifer Aniston Life Proof I think it's called... the no frizz is so good!

I've thought about keratin before but like you said, I'm scared about losing my curls!
DeleteI am going to have to try the braid trick! I love the idea of having pretty waves without the frizz! I've also never heard of these products before and definitely want to try!! Thanks for the tips, sweet girl!!

Definitely try it! It works so well for me!
DeleteMy hair gets frizzier the longer i go between cuts! I hate using conditioner everyday, so I'm going to have to try out these products! I'm always skeptical to buy products because what if I don't use them?
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way! I actually bought a travel/trial size of the oil to try it out and it was cheaper!
DeleteMe and my hair definitely have a love hate relationship. Maintaining the frizz and keeping defined curls is always a struggle for me. I've been using R&B from Lush. It seems to help. I think I'll try that argan oil.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to try that R&B from Lush!
DeleteI need to start sleeping in braids again! I used to all of the time and loved the look but I am seriously so lazy. Eek!

It usually doesn't have to take me too long! It actually saves me time in the morning!
DeleteOoooo good tip on the whole sleeping with braids! I'm definitely going to have to try that out, thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely try it out!
DeleteI struggle with frizz so much! Thank you for these suggestions, I'm saving this for later!

Good Luck!
DeleteA few things...1.) You are SO right, Pantene smells baller! 2.) When you put your hair into four braids to sleep, where do you put them to avoid awkward spacing when you wake up? I've been trying just one French braid in the back, but it doesn't leave me with as much wave as I'd like!
ReplyDeleteComing Up Roses
Usually I just braid whatever I grab! I don't really have a specific way I do it! However, I don't mind when I have off spacing because it makes it look more natural! Sorry I don't have a better solution!
DeleteI am so happy that my hair never gets frizzy but when it does get unruly I just use some leave in conditioner and that normally does the trick ♥
ReplyDeleteFelice Raina { The Kiss Of Joy }
What a great post! :) I have thick straight hair but I'd love to have wavy hair! My hair won't curl for anything lol. That deep conditioner looks great!
ReplyDeleteI might need to try out that shampoo/conditioner for the humid summer months! I'm a huge fan of argan oil too- it's the best!
ReplyDeleteI love argan oil products!! But I like to keep my hair in natural styles like braids, etc to protect it and to allow it to grow.
ReplyDeleteI have quite the frizzy hair too so I'm definitely going to try out that argan oil to keep the frizz down a bit. I use Tresemme curl mousse after I shower it definitely helps keep some of the frizz down.
ReplyDeleteJenni // The Beautiful Little Fools
I need to give this a try! I have BAD frizz, especially during these humid summers.
ReplyDeletetotally needed this info! in the summer my hair goes haywire and I don't even bother trying to tame this mane. but maybe I'll try some of these products to see if they'll help!
