5 Things and Day 3

Okay so I said the last few weeks were rough, well this week was too. I finally started packing, and it was really hard. I pretty much wanted to take everything, but I knew I couldn't. I kept wanting to just unpack everything and just stay. And then when Luna did this:

I just couldn't deal. I cried and cried. I know that this is going to be one of the best times of my life, these next four years. Despite everything I've been saying for the past three weeks, I really am excited! Today is the day I've been waiting for, for two years. Ever since Kayla left we've been counting down the days until I was in college. I thought it was going to take forever, and it FLEW. Today's the day that I move in to East Carolina University. Kayla and I are finally going to be in the same town, I'm finally going to be in college, I finally don't have a curfew, I finally can go out and have fun with my friends. Today is the day.

My emotions are all over the place, honestly, I don't knowhow to feel at the moment. Every time I think about leaving my house, my family, my cat I start crying. But every time I think about ECU, my dorm, Kayla, classes, etc. I get so excited. I had to schedule this post cause I know for a fact I won't have time today, but the time this is scheduled to post, I should be there already! Send prayers for me to be able to fit everything I'm bringing into my dorm! BUT I guess it's time to go. So I'm going to leave you with this week's five things!

1 - Michael Brown// I've been hearing so much about this and I find it absolutely disgusting what happened. Apparently, Michael Brown was shot at point blank range 6 times for doing absolutely nothing by a police officer. People have been protesting for over a week now I think and things are getting scarily out of hand. Here's a time line of new stories that have covered what's going on. It makes me so sad that racism is still alive today. Absolutely disgusting.

2 - If I Stay// I want to see this movie SO BAD. The book's on my to read list also. It looks so good, I cannot wait to see it! Watch the trailer below!

3 - Hair Cut// On Tuesday, I got my hair cut. To anyone who thinks that's not significant, trust me, it is. My hair was past my boobs, and now it's just a little bit below my shoulders. I could not take it anymore! My hair is super super thick and extremely hard to manage. I keep it up in a top bun almost 100% of the time. I couldn't even put it in a ponytail because it would weight it's self down. Now my hair looks (and feels) happy and healthy! I also got my roots done, which now I feel so much better without three inches of my roots showing!

4 - MOVE IN DAY// I have mentioned this countless, countless times before, and I'm sure I will many more times! But today is MOVE IN DAY. Excitement, tears, happiness, sadness, and about every other emotion I'm sure is being felt today. Like I said earlier, I've been waiting for this for TWO YEARS. Let's do this.

5 - Day Three// Day three in the Back to School Blogging Challenge! Today’s questions/topic is “What would you tell your freshman self?” and “What are you doing to prepare for school this fall?”

What would you tell your freshman self?
I’m just now a freshman in college, so I have no advice for college, but I would like to tell my high school freshman self some things.

  • You’re gay
  • DO YOUR HOMEWORK
  • Don’t slack off in school right now.
  • This year will ruin your GPA if you don’t do well
  • Don’t venture off from your friends.
  • High school is a great time
  • Go to all the football games
  • Go to the basketball games
  • Treasure the BADJAS
  • Treasure nights with your friends

How am I preparing for school?
WELL today is MOVE IN DAY! So today is pretty crazy. Taking a four hour drive, getting some last minute things, moving all of my stuff from my house, saying goodbye to my family, and Luna! But I’m also going to be looking at all of my syllabi, writing things in my planner, getting to know people on my hall, and so much more! I feel like I can’t prepare enough!

Feel free to answer these questions also!
